She has been visiting tasting rooms and exploring the world of wine for a generous amount of time.

She chose the mid-Willamette valley as the best location to start a post-retirement career in the Oregon wine industry. Seven years with a local winery included working in the tasting room, harvest work, planning and coordinating special events, booking local musicians and food trucks, as well as marketing and graphic design. Setting up a tasting booth for farmer’s markets, regional fairs and festivals, conventions and more may have been the root stock for Pop Up Cellar.

A lifelong passion for cooking and exploring various cuisines combined with domestic and international travel, has allowed her to visit and taste wine in traditional as well as innovative settings. She also loves volunteering her time doing wine education for various small groups as diverse as a local newcomer’s group and a church.
